NEW DELHI: Attempts by Chinese hackers to target power distribution centers near Ladakh on April 07 (UNI) have been successfully halted, Union Power and New and Renewable Energy Minister RK Singh said on Thursday.

The minister said hackers tried to launch cyber attacks twice, targeting power distribution in the union territory.

According to media reports, it is understood that Chinese state-sponsored hackers have been keeping an eye on Indian power stations near Ladakh for the past eight months.
