this is the case
Manipur has been witnessing turmoil for more than two-and-a-half months due to violence between the Kuki and Meitei communities. In this episode, on July 19, a video surfaced of two women being paraded naked and abused. This matter is of May 4. So far 4 people have been arrested in this case. However, the big question is that if the matter is of May 4 then why was no action taken after so many days? When the video went viral and it was criticized across the country, then the state government became active. Before the commencement of the Parliament session in Delhi, the Prime Minister expressed his anger over the whole matter and clearly said that the culprits would be given the harshest punishment. The court has also asked the government to take strict action regarding this matter.
Modi’s statement
At present, the struggle for Manipur is going on in the Parliament. The opposition is demanding a discussion on the Manipur issue. The same government is also ready for discussion. Despite this, consensus is not being reached. Regarding the Manipur video, the Prime Minister said that my heart is filled with sorrow. This is a shameful incident. How many are the culprits, who are they in their own place, but the whole country is being insulted.
