Gangolli: The GSVS Association and Saraswati Vidyalaya Group of Institutions recently organised a farewell ceremony for retired lecturers and staff members at the Gujjadi Gopal Naik Rotary Inner Hall. The event acknowledged individuals who dedicated years of service to the institution.
Among those felicitated were Narayan E. Naik, a Hindi lecturer at Saraswati Vidyalaya Pre-Graduation College; M. Raghavendra Bhatt, a Commerce lecturer; Srilata, a social science teacher at Saraswati Vidyalaya Kannada Medium High School; Vijay Kumar, a physics laboratory assistant; Yamuna Bhaskar, an office assistant in the high school department; and Jeevan Naik, an attendant. Each received a warm send-off from colleagues and administrators.
Lecturers Venkatesh Murthy NC, Narendra S. Gangolli, and Pramoda Pai extended congratulations on behalf of the office. Dr. Kashinath, president of the GS BS Association, presided over the proceedings. Association members H. Ganesh Kamat and N. Sadashiva Naik, along with Principal Kavitha MC and Raghavendra Sherugar — headmaster of Saraswati Vidyalaya English Medium High School — attended and offered their best wishes.
Lecturer Sujayindra led the gathering in prayer. Lecturer Thomas delivered the welcome address, while Lecturer P.A. narrated the programme's proceedings. Gopal Devadiga, principal of Saraswati Vidyalaya Kannada Medium High School, proposed the vote of thanks. The ceremony reflected the institution's respect for its retiring staff and their long-standing contributions to education in the region.
