Mangaluru July 01:  With the COVID-19 positivity rate falling to less than 5%, all shops in Dakshina Kannada district will be allowed to open between 6 am and 5 pm from Friday, July 2. Karnataka principal secretary to revenue N Manjunatha Prasad stated in an order that all shops, except those with air-conditioning, will be allowed to function in Dakshina Kannada district between 6 am and 5 pm until July 5 morning 5 am.

The weekend curfew guidelines, on the other hand, remain unchanged. The residents of Dakshina Kannada have been inconvenienced greatly as a result of the shutdown. Textile shops, xerox shops, and owners of all types of enterprises have expressed their dissatisfaction with the difficulties they have had as a result of their stores being closed. All of Dakshina Kannada’s MLAs and MPs had also asked for the lockdown to be lifted.
