Demand to run Yesvantpur-Murudeshwar Train Daily Basis

 

Bangalore, July 16; Indian Railways has already given good news to the people of coastal areas. Backtracking on the earlier decision to suspend the Yesvantpur-Murudeshwar weekend train,  now  the train has been extended till the end of July.

 

It has been demanded that the Yeshwantpur-Murudeshwar train, which runs only on weekends, should be run daily. The leaders of Kundapur Rail Passengers’ Hitarakshana Samiti have submitted a memorandum to the authorities of South Western Railway in this regard.

 

Kundapur Railway Passengers’ Hitarakshana Samiti president Ganesh Puthran, members Nagaraj Achar, Rajeev Gaonkar and others have submitted a memorandum in this regard. The train will connect the state capital Bengaluru and the coastal areas and will benefit hundreds of people.

 

Change the Timings; It has been requested that the Yeshwantpur-Murudeshwar train should depart from Bengaluru late every day and reach Kundapur and Karwar in the morning and run seven days a week.

 

Train No. 06563/06564 is run between Yeshwantpur and Murudeshwar . It was decided to suspend the service of this train. However, railway passengers opposed it. They had warned of a fight if the train stopped. The Indian Railways issued an order that train no. 06563 Yesvantpur-Murudeshwar weekly special express will run on July 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Train no. 06564 Marudeshwar-Yeshwantpur weekly special express will run every Sunday.

100 per cent of the seats in this train are being filled. The train will depart from Bengaluru city on Saturday night and return from Marudeshwar on Sunday night and reach Bengaluru. Hence, this train will be helpful for the people of Kundapur, Udupi and Byndoor, who travel to Bengaluru from the coastal areas.
