New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi has returned to India after visiting France and UAE. Immediately after returning to Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Lt. Governor VK Saxena on Saturday. Officials said that they inquired about the progress made in dealing with the flood situation in the national capital.
Due to heavy rains, the Yamuna river is flowing beyond the danger level and water has entered many parts of Delhi.
The water level of the river was receding on Saturday. As the flood waters receded in many areas, the authorities allowed road traffic to resume.
“Immediately after arriving in Delhi from abroad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi about the flood situation in Delhi due to the Yamuna river and the measures taken,” an official said.
