Delhi BJP to organise ‘Tika Utsav’ at 140 corporation-run vaccination centers
BJP’s state general secretary Harsh Malhotra said there are 140 corporation-run centers in Delhi where vaccination drive is being carried out.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said states should observe a ”vaccine festival” between April 11-14 to inoculate the maximum number of eligible beneficiaries against Covid-19.
A ”Tika Utsav” or vaccine festival will be marked in the country starting from today till April 14 at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with an aim to inoculate maximum number of eligible people against the coronavirus amid a surge in cases.
The Delhi BJP will honour people getting vaccinated during this period at corporation-run centers.
BJP’s state general secretary Harsh Malhotra said that there are 140 such centers in Delhi where the Covid-19 vaccination drive is being carried out. The party workers will put up stalls at these centres during this period from 10 am to 5 pm and will offer juice to people getting vaccinated.
He added that the party workers in Delhi are already engaged in creating awareness among people to stop the spread of coronavirus. The party workers are helping people register for the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination drive.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said states should observe a ”vaccine festival” between April 11-14 to inoculate the maximum number of eligible beneficiaries against COVID-19. Appealing to the youth, the prime minister said they should provide all possible help to vaccinate people aged more than 45 years in their vicinity.
“Our efforts should be to inoculate maximum eligible people during the ”Tika Utsav” (vaccination festival) between April 11-14,” he said, asking youngsters to help those above 45 years of age to get the jab. April 11 is the birth anniversary of noted social reformer Jyotirao Phule, he noted.
