Cyclone Biporjoy: Heavy rain is likely in many states including Karnataka
The Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in many states as the Biporzoi storm has intensified in the Arabian Sea.

IMD said that the cyclone will move in the north-northwest direction during the next three days. Monsoon is likely to arrive in Kerala in the next 48 hours, the department said. The Gujarat government has said that it is fully prepared to face the possibility of natural calamities. Fishermen have been warned not to venture into the Arabian Sea till June 14. Answer
This is the second cyclone in the Indian Ocean in three weeks. Cyclone Mocha, formed in the Bay of Bengal, swept into Bangladesh and Myanmar causing massive destruction. In 2021, Cyclone Yas also formed during the onset of monsoon.
