Cyclone Biparjoy Drops Monsoon Pressure,Rain Further Delayed
Bangalore, June 15; Southwest Monsoon rains have been delayed due to Cyclone Biporzai in the Arabian Sea. Even though June 15 has not rained properly, the shadow of drought has covered various districts of the state. According to the current information, monsoon rains will be delayed further.
There will be depression in the Bay of Bengal and southwest monsoon will further weaken. Weather experts have estimated that the effect of this will be delay of rain for about two weeks. So you can expect heavy monsoon rains in July.
Southwest Monsoon has weakened in the state as Cyclone Biporjoy has drawn moisture from the atmosphere. Therefore, there is no sign of monsoon rains which were supposed to burst in the beginning of June. In various districts there is also shortage of drinking water without rain.
How much rain is lacking; According to the information of the State Natural Disaster Management Center (KSNMDC), the rainfall deficit in the state from June 1 to 13 is 66 percent. During this period, the usual rainfall is 70 mm. m. It was supposed to rain. But only 24 m. m. It has rained. Due to the effect of Cyclone Biporjoy, there has been no rain in the state.
Karnataka’s south hinterland is 44%, north hinterland 58%, hilly 78% and coast 73% less than usual. Farming activity, which was supposed to start in the first week of June, has also been delayed. On the other hand, the expected lack of rain has created water scarcity.
According to the information of the Meteorological Department, there will be cloudy weather in the state for another two weeks. It will rain frequently in different areas. But monsoon rains can be expected after July 8 or 10. According to this forecast, there will be a huge setback for agricultural activities in June.
Partly cloudy with only moderate rain in the evening. Weather department officials have estimated that it is not possible to expect good rainfall. Believing in this moderate rain, even the farmers do not start sowing.

Moderate rainfall is expected in the state after June 17 as a result of depression in the Bay of Bengal. It is expected to move towards Bangladesh and cause delay in southwest monsoon in the country. It is common for depression to occur during the onset of southwest monsoon. But it is impossible to expect more rain due to this.
This pressure drop is also likely to draw in atmospheric moisture and weaken the southwest monsoon. The current climate is not conducive for monsoon sowing. Even the crops grown now are drying up without proper water supply. There is a shortage of drinking water, how to supply water to crops? That is the problem of farmers.
