To accommodate Ganesh idol immersions scheduled through September 26, the Cyberabad police have enacted a series of traffic diversions across Hyderabad, effective from 12 a.m. on September 25 until 8 a.m. on September 26.
Vehicles are barred from using IDL Tank Road except those belonging to Ganesh processions, with the stretch from the IDL Entrance to Rainbow Vista closed entirely. Motorists approaching Madhapur from Kukatpally Y Junction via IDL Tank Road will be rerouted at the IDL Tank Entrance toward JNTU, then to Forum Mall, Hitech City and finally Madhapur.
Conversely, traffic coming from Hitech City, Madhapur or Hafeezpet heading for Kukatpally Y Junction will follow a new path via the Lucky Restaurant signal, 4th phase KPHB, Road No. 1, Remedy Hospital U‑turn and re‑enter Kukatpally Y Junction.
The road linking Srinivasa Steel to Three Monkey Junction is closed to general traffic. Vehicles from Gandimaisamma and Pragathi Nagar bound for JNTU will be diverted at Pragathi Nagar, taking Nizampet Village, 191 Sy No. Colony Road and Nizampet Road to reach JNTU. In the opposite direction, traffic from JNTU to Pragathi Nagar Colony will turn at Sreenivasa Steel (Tulasinagar) via Konaseema Hotel Road, Kolan Raghav Reddy Gardens and Nizampet (Tulasinagar) before proceeding to Pragathi Nagar.
Heavy trucks travelling from Gandimaisamma Crossing Road toward Balanagar must turn left at Bahadurpally Junction, move through Dulapally Village Junction, continue via JETL and arrive at Balanagar. Those heading from Balanagar to Gandimaisamma will be redirected at Suraram Junction, taking a left into Suraram Village, then via Bowrampet Junction (Snake Park) to reach Gandimaisamma Junction.
Vehicles approaching from Darga (Old Mumbai Highway) will use Road No. 32 (HT Lane), pass the backside of Malkam Cheruvu Road, join KIMS Hospital Lane and re‑enter Old Mumbai Highway, ensuring smooth passage for immersion processions.
Private travel buses from Miyapur to Hyderabad City via Kukatpally Y Junction, as well as buses from Miyapur through Hafeezpet, Kondapur, Gachibowli, and those from BHEL junction to Gachibowli via HCU Road, are also prohibited during the specified window.
