Bengaluru: Bengaluru has been placed under a night curfew till August 16 from 10pm to 5am in order to prevent further spread of Covid-19. Until August 16, 6 am, Section 144 of the CrPC prohibits the gathering of four people or more.. These orders do not apply to airports, railway stations, and bus stands.In addition, any person found violating these orders shall be subject to prosecution under various sections of the Disaster Management Act, Section 188 of the IPC, and sections 4,5, and 10 of the Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act, 2000. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) had previously made institutional quarantine mandatory for people visiting Karnataka from outside.
