On a recent day in Thailand, American fitness influencer and YouTuber Connor Murphy, 32, was reported dead in a drowning incident, according to local media reports. The news has sparked an outpouring of grief online, with tributes pouring in from fans and fellow fitness creators. However, despite these reports, there has been no official confirmation from Murphy’s family or representatives, and his social media accounts remain inactive. Thai media outlet ThaiRath reported that the body of a 32-year-old American, identified as Connor Michael Murphy, was found in a lake within a residential complex. Local authorities stated that the incident occurred after Murphy started acting erratically, with witnesses describing him as shouting, rolling around on the road, and making prayer-like gestures, causing nearby locals to contact police. By the time officers arrived, Murphy had entered the lake and was swimming until he appeared exhausted before disappearing beneath the surface. Rescue teams recovered his body about 30 minutes later from water over 10 metres deep. Murphy’s girlfriend, a 22-year-old woman, stated that they had been together for three years but had lived apart due to lifestyle differences before reconciling less than three months ago. She claimed to have never seen him use drugs and could not explain his sudden behaviour on the day of the incident. Police found no visible signs of assault or external injuries on the body, which was sent to Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital for an autopsy. With no official confirmation from Murphy’s family or representatives, uncertainty surrounding the incident persists.
