Congress condemns oil price hike, commodity price hike
Bangalore: The cycle rallies were held in the city today by the state congress to condemn the central government’s continuous fuel price hike and the consequent increase in commodity prices.

Speaking to reporters on the outskirts of the compound, DK Shivakumar accused the ruling BJP government of being a ‘pick pocket government’.

Despite crude oil prices declining in the international market, the government has not reduced the price of petrol and diesel, the demand for the reduction of essential commodities by 20 per cent, and the government has failed to provide adequate relief to victims of the Kovid-19 pandemic. He said that the Congress was in and out of the House to protest all these.

Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah said that the prices of cooking gas are rising and the people are agitated. The subsidy has also been abolished. He accused the central government of not reducing taxes.
