New Delhi: The Election Commission has prepared for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and the assembly elections of 5 states to be held at the end of the year.
As a part of the preparation, the Election Commission has conducted preliminary level checking (FLC) of EVMs across the country in a phased manner. Mock voting is part of FLC. The commission has informed that this is an activity across the country.
FLCs will be held in assembly and parliamentary constituencies where general and by-elections will be held, including Rajasthan, Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Madhya Pradesh, commission officials said.
Officials have informed that if there is a defect in the voting machines, they will be returned to the manufacturer for replacement.
