On May 29, 2026, Bunts Qatar successfully organized the Karnataka-Based Association Badminton Tournament Season 3 at the Hamilton International School in Doha, Qatar. The event, which lasted from 8 am to 10 pm, brought together leading Karnataka associations in Qatar for a day of competitive badminton and community spirit. Dr. Anees Alyafei, a senior consultant in community medicine, inaugurated the tournament, emphasizing the importance of sports and fitness in building a healthier society. A total of 69 teams from TuluKoota Qatar, Karnataka Sangha Qatar, MCC Qatar, Billawas Qatar, and Bunts Qatar participated in the tournament, making it one of the largest Karnataka inter-association badminton tournaments held in Qatar. After a series of thrilling matches, TuluKoota Qatar emerged as the tournament champions, while Bunts Qatar secured the runner-up trophy. The grand closing ceremony was attended by Shri Harish Pandey, First Secretary (Education & Culture) at the Embassy of India, and Mr. E. P. Abdurahiman, President of ISC Qatar. The ceremony included an opening address by Ms. Pooja Shenava, a welcome speech by Vice President Mr. Manoj Shetty, and a felicitation of the chief guests by President Mr. Sukaram Shetty. Sports Secretary Ms. Shiny Shetty presented a brief overview of the tournament, highlighting its success and participation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Damodhar Rai, expressing gratitude to all guests, participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters. The tournament was attended by several dignitaries, including Bunts Qatar Founder President Dr. Ravi Shetty and Advisory Members Mr. Navneeth Shetty and Mr. Deepak Shetty. The event recognized sponsors and supporters with tokens of appreciation and felicitated winners, runners-up, and outstanding performers with trophies and awards.
