BJP has called a parliamentary party meeting to formulate a strategy for the Monsoon session of the Lok Sabha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav attended the meeting which started at 9:30 am. A meeting has been called to discuss critical organizational issues with party MPs.

The Monsoon Session of Parliament, which began on July 20, was marred by uproar and intense uproar in the House as the Opposition demanded the Prime Minister’s statement on the Manipur violence issue, resulting in fruitless discussions. The House was adjourned for three days and the opposition has been sitting on a sit-in in the Parliament premises since yesterday as AAP MP Sanjay Singh was suspended by Rajya Sabha Speaker Jagdeep Dhankar. It is the opposition’s demand that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should make a statement in the House on the issue of Manipur violence.
