On Monday, the Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party launched the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in Bengaluru, with a Tricolour march from the government school premises near K.C. General Hospital. BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly R. Ashoka, and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy participated in the event. The campaign aims to honour freedom fighters and promote patriotism among citizens. Vijayendra stated that the campaign is intended to remind people of the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle and encourage every citizen to take pride in the nation. He also criticized the Congress, saying the BJP does not need to learn patriotism from them. Vijayendra alleged that the government had protected those accused of raising Pakistan Zindabad slogans at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru. Ashoka and Narayanaswamy also hit out at the Congress, accusing it of losing its connection with the party that led the freedom movement. They appealed to citizens to participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to make the campaign a success.
