New Delhi: Ten new members were appointed to the BJP national executive by party national president JP Nadda on Saturday. Eight of these people were earlier presidents of state units.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Deepak Prakash, Satish Poonia, Sanjay Jaiswal, Somu Veeraraju, Suresh Kashyap, Vishnudev Sai, Ashwani Sharma are former presidents of BJP units of Telangana, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Punjab respectively. A party statement said that he has been appointed to the executive.

Along with this, Dharmlal Kaushik from Chhattisgarh and Kirodi Lal Meena from Rajasthan have also been appointed as new members of the national executive, a party release said.

Assembly elections will be held in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan later this year.
