Bangalore, June. 08: Sweet news for pilgrims visiting Tirupati Tirumala temple from Silicon City. Henceforth it is very easy for Bangaloreans to do this Tirupati Pilgrimage. Because Blade India, along with Hunch Ventures, has launched a helicopter service between Bangalore and Tirupati.
Tirumala Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, approximately 250 kilometers from the capital of Karnataka, is a popular spiritual center visited by millions of pilgrims every month. A new helicopter service has been launched to facilitate the pilgrimage, especially as this journey is often a challenge for the elderly, whose journey will now become easier.
Flights are available on ‘demand’ basis. Flyblade India will be offering this service from HAL Airport, Bangalore daily at around 9.30 am. Pilgrims departing from 9.15 am to 9.30 am can return from Tirupati at 4.00 pm to 4.15 pm on the same day. The helicopter to Tirumala can accommodate up to five guests.
A chopper ride significantly reduces the travel time between the two cities. Tirupati is a four-hour drive from Bangalore. With helicopter service, pilgrims can reach the temple in about 1.5 hours. A helicopter ride from Bengaluru to Tirupati will cost around Rs 3,50,000 excluding GST.
A complete helicopter is available from 3,50,000 onwards. Five guests are accommodated at a time. So five passengers can go together. Even if you are going alone, you can get a private helicopter. Bookings can be done through the Flyblade India website, the company said. Bookings can be made on the BLADE India website or at 1800-102-5233.
Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Tirupati already has a domestic airport as pilgrims from across the country visit the temple town. In October last year, Flyblade India India started a chopper service from HAL Airport to Kempegowda International Airport.
It has reduced the two-hour travel time from the city to the airport to 15 minutes. It also provides chopper service from Bengaluru to Malenadu and Kabini regions of Karnataka. In February this year, Flyblade India partnered with the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).
