On October 4, train services between Bengaluru and Mangaluru will be cancelled due to maintenance work between Siribagilu and Yedakumari railway stations in the Western Ghats, affecting commuters until November 4. Mangaluru residents will have to plan their travel accordingly as South Western Railway cancels several trains during this period. The Yeshwantpur – Mangaluru Junction Express, which normally runs three days a week, will not operate on October 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 22, 25, 27, 29, and November 1, 3. Similarly, the Mangaluru Junction – Yeshwantpur Express will be cancelled on October 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 23, 26, 28, 30, and November 2, 4. Other trains affected include the Yeshwantpur – Karwar Express and the Karwar – Yeshwantpur Express, with multiple cancellations between October 5 and November 3. Additionally, the Yeshwantpur – Mangaluru Junction Weekly Express will be cancelled on October 10, 24, 31, while the Mangaluru Junction – Yeshwantpur Weekly Express will not run on October 11, 25, and November 1, as announced by Manjunath Kanamadi, Chief Public Relations Officer of South Western Railway.
