He said that during the visit and inspection of the Indira Canteens last Sunday, the Deputy Chief Minister has given some instructions, following which an officer will be appointed for each Indira Canteen in the city. That the appointed officers will visit Indira canteens daily to check the quality of the food items available here. It was found that more than the amount was obtained, the appointed officers should also draw attention to this aspect. Adviser Girinath said that after reviewing the facilities including drinking water facilities in the Indra canteens, a daily report will be prepared. Instructions will be given to submit. He said that a separate software will be developed for the purpose of submitting daily reports to the officers appointed for all Indra canteens, in which the officers will have to upload the daily report. .
The BBMP Chief Commissioner said that approval will be obtained from the government to call for tenders for the management of food grains for the Indra canteens. A proposal will be submitted to the government to bring some changes, after getting approval from the government, tenders will be called within three days for the management of food items at the zone level and the tender process will be completed within 15 days, he said. or that the contractors participating in the tender are conditioned to comply with the conditions.
He said that the old helpline number is for Indira canteens, but now a new helpline number 1533 has been launched, necessary steps will be taken to link this number for all Indira canteens.
