BBMP Elections: Government plan to conduct BBMP elections before Lok Sabha!
Bengaluru, June 12: Congress is preparing for the upcoming elections after the formation of the government after a landslide victory in the state assembly elections.
Congress, which is already aiming to win 20 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, along with many strategies, has given the responsibility of the Lok Sabha elections to the minister, and now it is said that the state government has decided to hold the BBMP elections before the Lok Sabha elections.

As soon as the report prepared by the committee is received, the government has planned to finalize the reserve list and hold elections for 243 wards of the corporation. Therefore, it has been decided to announce new reservation for 243 wards, and the Congress has taken the advice of the report to come to a final decision.
After the Congress government came to power, a committee headed by Ramalingareddy was formed to review all aspects related to the BBMP elections. We have prepared a report and it will be submitted to the government today or tomorrow. We have decided to face elections in the existing 243 wards. There are several cases in the High Court and all but one have been cleared. Minister Ramalingareddy said that we have to see what direction comes from the court.
Talking about the proposal to increase BBMP wards to 250, he said that this is a time-consuming process. Increasing the wards to 250 will take time. We have announced that we will conduct elections ourselves. CM Siddaramaiah also wants to hold elections. So we will not postpone elections like BJP.
