On Saturday, former BBA students of the 2014 batch gathered at the government first‑grade college in Byndoor to celebrate a Guru Vandana ceremony. The event honored the teachers who shaped their academic journeys and reinforced the alumni association’s bond with the institution.
Alumni addressed the gathering by recalling the guidance received from former lecturers Panju, Manikanta, Suchitra, Jyothi, Manjul, Bhaskar Billava, Harish, Uday, Deepak, Dr. Ravichandra, Shrikant Raj, Kristi Sharan and Nagaveni. Their speeches highlighted the lasting impact of mentorship on personal and professional growth.
College officials present included Principal Dr. Umesh Mayya, Dr. Raghunath, Pandurang, Professor Chitra Paydar, alumni association secretary Mamata, and office staff Vijay Shetty, Rajeshwari and Manjunath. The contributions of the Mitra Sevaashrama Committee were also recognised during the programme.
Welcome remarks were delivered by Chetan Shetty, followed by an introduction from Suchitra. Shradha Shetty offered a formal tribute. Organisation of the event was supported by Anil, Sudhakar and Bhaskar. After the ceremonial segment, participants enjoyed a series of traditional games organised for entertainment.
The gathering concluded with a collective promise to preserve memories of college life and to continue supporting future generations of students at Byndoor S.P.D. College.
