Senior party leader and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has said that he belongs to the faction. Patil said that he decided to join the Ajit Pawar faction with the hope of saving the two sugar mills in his constituency which are in economic crisis and solving the problems related to development and tourism in the Vai sector. Notably, Ajit Pawar and eight other MLAs were with Patil during NCP founder Sharad Pawar’s visit to Karad Nagar, a day after he joined the Shiv Sena-BJP government.
