New Delhi: The airline’s second flight has arrived in Russia to take Air India passengers stranded at Russia’s Magadan airport to their destination in the US, San Francisco.
The Air India flight took off from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 3:21 pm on Wednesday and reached Russia from Mumbai to Magadan at 6:14 am on Thursday. Air India flight AI195 has taken off from Magadan carrying 216 passengers and 16 crew members.
The flight arrived at 6:14 am local time. Left at 10:27. Also expected to reach San Francisco at 00:15. Upon arrival in San Francisco, Air India passengers are provided with necessary assistance including medical care, ground transportation and onward destination.

Air India flight number AI-173 departed from Delhi to San Francisco on June 6. But in between, a technical fault was detected in the engine of the Boeing-777 aircraft. Hence the plane had to make an emergency landing at Magadan airport in Russia. There were 216 passengers and 16 crew on this flight. At the same time, the company issued a statement saying that food and other facilities have been sent to the passengers and crew of the Air India flight stranded in Russia.
