Hindu Jagrana Vedike Bayanduru Taluk organised a large panjina march and a special assembly on Akhand Bharat Sankalp Day in Bayanduru, Karnataka, drawing hundreds of volunteers and patriotic citizens.
The event aimed to revive national feeling, remind people of the bitter memories of division and promote the unity, integrity and cultural heritage of India. Organisers said the day seeks to pass on the sacrifices of great heroes to the younger generation and awaken a sense of national consciousness.
Key speaker Keshav Bangera urged the Gen Z and Gen Alpha crowd to remember the selfless sacrifice of revolutionary Bhagat Singh and other youthful freedom fighters who gave their lives for the nation. He appealed to the audience to adopt patriotism, protect the country and take part in its development.
Lawyer Nagraj Golihole chaired the programme while senior members of the organisation offered guidance. Other prominent speakers included Rajesh Uchchil, the district co‑ordinator of Hindu Jagrana Vedike, and senior activists Aravind Koteswar, Shankar Kote, Vasu Gangolli, Mahesh Byluru, Umesh Sud, Ratnakar Gangoelli, Rajesh Acharya and Harish Salkodu, the Bayanduru Taluk co‑ordinator.
Political dignitaries such as MP B.V. Raghavendra and MLA Guru Raj Gantihole also participated, lending additional weight to the gathering.
The panjina march saw a vibrant procession of volunteers chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and waving flags. The march was led by senior activists of the Hindu Jagrana Vedike Bayanduru Taluk.
Mahesh Vasre delivered the pledge, Kumari Jahanvi Acharya sang the patriotic song “Vande Mataram”, and Vijeth Bankeshwar acted as the programme anchor. The combined efforts of organisers and participants succeeded in kindling a renewed spirit of patriotism among the region’s youth.
