Bengaluru:Students in grades I through X in Karnataka should be prepared to attend classes full-time immediately after Dussehra vacation, since the government plans to reopen schools completely. Minister for Primary and Secondary Education B.C. Nagesh announced that the government will re-start physical classes in full swing for classes 1 to 10 in the state from October 21. The students would also be provided with hot meals, he said. The minister said that the private school fee issue will be reviewed after obtaining a copy of the court order and appropriate direction will be issued by the government.
“We will also hold a meeting of parents and private board boards,” he said. Further, the minister said the proposal for forming a fee control committee on the lines of those implemented in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, would also be examined and appropriate action will be taken.
The education minister also informed the media that a committee headed by Rohith Chakratheertha has been formed to look into the complaints about inaccuracies in the textbooks. Once the committee submits the report, the school textbooks will be revised, he said.
