Actor Vijay Sethupathi has officially commenced dubbing for Thiagarajan Kumararaja's highly anticipated film, 'Pocket Novel,' marking a significant step forward in the project's post-production phase. The acclaimed star shared this development recently on his X timeline, offering fans a glimpse into the ongoing work.
"Stepping into Thiagarajan Kumararaja's world, one more time. Dubbing begins for #PocketNovel," Sethupathi posted, confirming his involvement in lending his voice to the character. This announcement arrives swiftly after the film's principal photography concluded just a fortnight ago. The production team had previously celebrated the wrap-up by releasing a captivating video featuring behind-the-scenes clips from various days of shooting.
Adding to the buzz around the film, actress Malavika Mohanan, who plays the female lead, had penned a heartfelt note of gratitude to the entire 'Pocket Novel' team earlier this month. Taking to her Instagram page, Mohanan reflected on the deep connections forged during the production process. "Some films become a little world of their own while you're making them, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of this one," she wrote.
Mohanan elaborated on the importance of human connections in filmmaking, describing the team as a "home away from home" after months of shared experiences. She extended particular thanks to Vijay Sethupathi, acknowledging him as "the most caring and giving co-actor." She added, "Having been through this journey with you, I cannot imagine having been a part of this process with anybody else." Mohanan also highlighted their previous collaborations in 'Petta' and 'Master,' noting that 'Pocket Novel' finally allowed them to share significant screen space.
Her appreciation also reached director Thiagarajan Kumararaja, whom she praised as an "absolute cool cat" with a "rare way of looking at people and the world." Mohanan described working with him as "the experience of a lifetime." She concluded her post by thanking Ezhil Madhi for being "the sweetest anchor through it all." With dubbing now underway, 'Pocket Novel' steadily progresses towards its theatrical release, fueling anticipation among cinema enthusiasts.
