Mangaluru, Oct. 20 – Businessman Muhammad Asif Ibrahim chaired a public programme of the “Know the Prophet of Humanity” campaign on the Ullal City Municipal Ground, while Rafiuddin Kudroli, president of Univef Karnataka, delivered the keynote address.

The gathering centred on the contrasting themes of dictatorship, human freedom and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Kudroli warned that many young people mistake unrestrained liberty for genuine freedom, a confusion he said threatens moral standards. He called for a collective pause, urging participants to ask whether they truly follow the Prophet’s example.

According to the speaker, the ability to label wrongdoing as evil is eroding, and society increasingly accepts immoral conduct as normal. In response, he appealed for renewed unity to safeguard and promote ethical values.

Following the speeches, the event recognised children who excelled in talent‑search competitions linked to the campaign. Certificates and prizes were handed out in the presence of Fazal Muhammad, president of the Univef Ullal branch, and senior member Abdurrasheed.

Musical interludes featured a recitation of the Qira'at by Muhammad Hasan Rizwan. The programme opened with an introductory address from campaign convener Nabeel Shaban, and was moderated by Nawaz Khalid, secretary of the Univef Ullal branch.

Organisers hope the day’s discussions will inspire the local youth to differentiate between true freedom and unchecked liberty, reinforcing the moral fabric of the community.
