South Korean entertainment powerhouse HYBE confirmed on Tuesday its plan to stage the Weverse Con music festival on Indian soil, marking the first time the K‑pop extravaganza will be hosted in the subcontinent.
The announcement, made through a press release issued by HYBE’s global communications team, said the event will feature performances by the label’s flagship acts, including BTS, SEVENTEEN and TXT, alongside collaborations with Indian artists. While the exact venue and dates have not been disclosed, organizers indicated that the festival will be rolled out later this year, with ticket sales expected to begin in the coming months.
HYBE, which operates under the umbrella of the Weverse platform, aims to tap into India’s rapidly expanding fanbase for Korean pop music. The company highlighted that India represents one of its top growth markets, citing recent streaming data that shows a surge in K‑pop consumption across the country.
Industry analysts predict that the Weverse Con debut in India could draw crowds of tens of thousands, boosting local tourism and creating new opportunities for Indian musicians to engage with global K‑pop production standards. HYBE also hinted at a series of promotional events, fan meet‑ups and cultural workshops that will accompany the main concert series.
Fans across major Indian cities have already taken to social media to express excitement, with hashtags such as #WeverseConIndia and #HYBEIndia trending shortly after the announcement. As preparations move forward, HYBE assures that safety protocols and a seamless fan experience will be top priorities for the inaugural Indian edition of the festival.
