Mangaluru: Esteemed Non-Resident Indian entrepreneur Zakariya Jokatte visited the Vartha Bharati headquarters in Mangaluru on Monday, October 5. During his visit, Jokatte lauded the news organization's commitment to impartial journalism and officially unveiled the poster for its upcoming North Karnataka edition, set to launch from Hubballi.

Engaging with various departments, Jokatte held extensive discussions with both editorial and operational teams, gaining insight into the daily workings of the publication.

Addressing the gathering, Jokatte expressed immense pride in Vartha Bharati's evolution into the state's most impartial and pro-people media organization. He acknowledged the significant challenges involved in establishing and sustaining an alternative media voice, particularly one that has garnered substantial popularity and credibility through unwavering dedication to its readership and viewership. 'Building and nurturing such an alternative media organization is a very challenging task,' he remarked.

He extended his heartfelt congratulations to Editor-in-Chief Abdussalam Puthige and his entire team for this remarkable achievement. As Vartha Bharati nears its 25th anniversary, Jokatte appealed to its vast base of readers and well-wishers to provide crucial support, enabling the newspaper to expand its reach and impact at a national level. 'Let us all cooperate to ensure Vartha Bharati reaches everyone across the nation,' he urged.

During the event, Yaseen Malpe, the founding director of Vartha Bharati, honored Zakariya Jokatte with a commemorative memento. Also present were CEO Mohammed Muslim Koppa, Bureau Chief B.N. Pushparaj, Chief Sub-Editor Rajesh Naik, and General Manager Rumman Ahmed, among other dignitaries.
