Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff captured widespread attention on Wednesday when he uploaded a lighthearted "Last Will & Testament" to his Instagram stories. The mock document playfully detailed his wishes for his cherished plants and farmhouse, revealing a unique perspective on his personal assets.
The tongue-in-cheek declaration, titled "LAST WILL & TESTAMENT," began with the formal statement: "I, Jackie Shroff, son of Shri Kakubhai Shroff, residing at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, being of sound mind and body, do here by declare this to be my Last Will and Testament." Among its whimsical provisions, the document stipulated that his farmhouse would remain "in the care of beloved Spider Plant." Financially, it allocated "a sum of Rs. 99 lakhs to be set aside for the composting section in the farmhouse and all the gardening tools." Furthermore, it ensured "a lifetime budget allocated for all my plants, pots and gardener." The will, dated the 1st day of Sept 2026, poignantly declared, "My plants are my family. They must be nurtured, protected and loved always."
Shroff, known for his distinctive personality and love for nature, concluded the viral post with a clear disclaimer: "DIL PE MAT LE, JUST A JOKE SHROFF." This playful note underscored the actor's intention, ensuring his followers understood the humorous nature of the 'will' while highlighting his genuine affection for his botanical companions.
On the professional front, the actor is currently involved in Ahmed Khan's upcoming comedy film, "Welcome To The Jungle."
