The Principal District and Sessions Court in Udupi on August 27 delivered a definitive verdict, ordering imprisonment for four individuals implicated in a long-standing case of caste discrimination and assault. This seven-year ordeal involved Panjima, wife of Jayaprakash, a woman from the Scheduled Caste residing in Pragati Nagar, Alevoor village, within Manipal Police Station limits. The court's ruling brings justice for the persistent harassment she endured.
