Bengaluru City Police have apprehended a 25-year-old security guard in the Bommasandra Industrial Area, Electronic City Division, on allegations of planning an attack targeting the Pakistan Army and maintaining suspected links with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Authorities identified the individual as Asaful Malik, a resident of Jigani, Bengaluru, originally from Naupara village in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district.

According to a press release from the Hebbagodi Police Station, officers took Malik into custody after receiving credible intelligence about his alleged plot. Investigators subsequently interrogated him at the Hebbagodi Police Station, where he reportedly disclosed his desire for revenge against the Pakistan Army.
