On the sports front, Kundapur is abuzz with news of a talented young athlete from Sujnana PU College. Muhammad Faiz Sadiq, a second PUC student, has made a mark by securing first place in the 74 kg category at the 2026-2027 Udupi district level boys and girls karate tournament. This prestigious event was jointly organized by the Department of School Education and Milagris Undergraduate College, Kalyanpur. As a result, Muhammad Faiz has been selected to compete at the state level. He is the son of Muhammad Ibrahim Sadiq and Yasira Sadiq. Other students from the college also put up a impressive show, with Dhanvi, Harshit Gholgar, Anoop D Ganiga, Mithesh, Vaishnavi Shetty, Pratiksha P, and Shubhan Putran all securing second place in their respective categories. The students were guided by Satish Kumar and Lalitha Anagalli, Directors of Physical Education at the college. The winning students were congratulated and wished well by Dr. Ramesh Shetty, President of Sujnana Educational Trust, along with Secretary Pratap Chandra Shetty, Treasurer Bharat Shetty, and College Principal Ranjan B. Shetty.
