On August 10, Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party, announced a nationwide campaign to improve government schools in rural areas. The campaign, set to launch on August 15, aims to bring together citizens, parents, and village leaders to address the neglect of rural educational infrastructure. Dipke will initiate the campaign in his village, Hingoli, in Maharashtra, by requesting the village head to improve the local government schools.
Dipke emphasized the need to focus on government schools, particularly on the 80th Independence Day. He questioned the lack of attention given to these schools, despite the construction of new parliament and PM houses. Dipke highlighted the difficulties faced by village children, especially girls, who have to walk long distances to attend school and often find basic facilities like drinking water and toilets unavailable.
The Cockroach Janta Party has issued an appeal to sarpanches across the country to improve government schools in their respective villages. The organization has launched a 'Sarpanch Challenge', where village heads who improve their schools will be publicly recognized on social media platforms. The CJP will also conduct a citizen-led social audit of government schools, where parents are encouraged to visit their children's schools and check for basic facilities like electricity, clean drinking water, and functional washrooms.
