KOTA: A one-day refresher workshop for undergraduate commerce lecturers took place at the Technology Center of Viveka Undergraduate College in Kota. The event was jointly organized by the Department of School Education, the Udupi District Undergraduate Commerce Lecturers Association, and Viveka Undergraduate College, in collaboration with the Udupi district administration.
Maruti, Deputy Director of the Undergraduate School Education Department, inaugurated the workshop. College Principal K. Jagdish Nameda presided over the proceedings. Valerian Menages, Treasurer of Kota Vidya Sangh, attended as the chief guest and extended his best wishes to the participants.
Kirtan, a research scholar from the National Institute of Technology Suratkal, delivered a lecture on understanding learner psychology. Several lecturers — Balarama Vaidya, Harish Kumar, Santhosh Kumar, Surendra Pujari, and Hemalatha — shared their expertise on Accounting and Business Studies subjects.
During the event, Maruti was felicitated by the lecturers’ association and the college administration. Students who secured top ranks in the previous second PUC examinations received cash prizes. Anita Holla and Arun Holla led the prayers. Chandrakala Shetty, President of the Undergraduate Commerce Lecturers’ Association, delivered the welcome address. Santosh Kumar made the introductory remarks. Gretta Mores and Dr. Pratima Bhatt introduced the guests. Narendra S. Gangolli served as the program narrator. Sumangala, Secretary of the association, proposed the vote of thanks. Contributions came from lecturers Sanjeeva Gundmi, Usha, and Netra.
