On August 6, a 16-year-old boy from Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, embarked on a 900km journey to Mumbai, driven by his dream of becoming an actor on the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The minor, who left his home without informing his family, was found near Film City in Goregaon the next morning. Asit Kumar Modi, the creator and producer of the show, has responded to the incident, praising the boy’s enthusiasm while emphasizing the importance of responsibility and caution. Modi advised young aspirants to balance their passion with education, safety, and family trust, and to approach opportunities through the right channels. He also encouraged budding artists to contact the show’s official casting team with their parents’ knowledge. The boy, who traveled to Mumbai by train, was taken to the Aarey Police Station by a mobile police unit and later revealed his intention to work on the show. Modi’s message to young hopefuls is to dream big, work hard, and pursue their passion responsibly.
