On its ninth day in theaters, Tom Holland and Zendaya starrer Spider-Man: Brand New Day has achieved a significant milestone, crossing Rs 400 crore gross in India. The Marvel movie, which is the fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise, has been performing exceptionally well at the Indian box office. As of its second Friday, the film has earned an estimated Rs 14.50 crore across 13,544 screenings nationwide, marking a 1.8% increase from Thursday.
The movie, set four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, has been breaking financial records since its release. It opened with a massive Rs 60.60 crore net on Day 1 and has consistently performed well, crossing Rs 100 crore on Day 2, Rs 150 crore on Day 3, and Rs 200 crore on Day 4. By the end of Week 1, it had topped Rs 300 crore, and now, it has comfortably crossed the Rs 340 crore net milestone on Day 9.
The film’s success can be attributed to its robust audience turnout across the country, particularly in key metro centers. English screenings have contributed significantly, earning Rs 8.75 crore net, while Hindi dubbed versions have brought in Rs 4.75 crore net. With a domestic gross of Rs 417.63 crore in just nine days, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is on track for a historic theatrical run in India.
