Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), announced on Wednesday that his organization will support the student protest in Jharkhand, which has been ongoing since July 29. Dipke made this declaration in his hometown of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, where the CJP’s core team meeting is being held. The CJP plans to travel to Jharkhand to back the job aspirants who are demanding an investigation into alleged irregularities in the JPSC and other recruitment examinations.
Dipke stated that the CJP will operate as a ‘pressure group’ to demand accountability from institutions, as people have lost faith in the judiciary, politics, media, and the Election Commission. He emphasized that the CJP’s agitation has received nationwide support, and it is not just limited to education issues, but also about bringing accountability to these institutions. The CJP chief said they will stand with the protesting students in Jharkhand and support their demands.
The CJP’s core team meeting, which commenced on Wednesday, will outline a roadmap for the organization’s future and discuss issues such as dwindling trust in institutions, ethanol-blended fuel, and rising unemployment. The meeting will also focus on providing legal and medical help to protesters injured in recent agitations. CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das said they will push for the withdrawal of FIRs against students who participated in the protests.
