On Sunday, Vivek Alva, Trustee of Alva’s Education Foundation, addressed a gathering of young leaders in Mijar, urging them to actively participate in the 16th edition of Alva’s Pragati–2026, a mega job fair scheduled to take place in Moodbidri. For over two decades, the foundation has been providing employment opportunities to job seekers without any profit motive. Alva emphasized that in today’s job market, skills, self-confidence, and work efficiency are valued more than certificates alone. He encouraged youth leaders to bring rural youth to the job fair, motivating them to attend interviews with prior preparation and confidence. This year, over 343 companies have registered to participate, offering thousands of job opportunities in 13 employment sectors for candidates with various qualifications. Alva’s Pragati is a social movement that gives direction to thousands of young people’s lives, creating equal opportunities and instilling purpose. With over 70 staff members working on the preparations and 2,500 volunteers to handle responsibilities on the day of the fair, Alva praised the commitment of the youth leaders who participated in the meeting. The meeting also felicitated Dhanalakshmi Poojary, a World Kabaddi Championship-winning player and Alva’s student, for securing a job in the Gujarat Income Tax Department. Youth leaders from various political parties and organizations participated in the meeting, sharing their opinions and suggestions regarding Alva’s Pragati.
