On July 31, 2026, television actress Aditi Sharma filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband Abhineet Vidyanand Kaushik and his family members at the Goregaon Police Station in Mumbai. Aditi, known for her roles in shows like Apollena- Sapno Ki Unchi Udaan, Rabb Se Hai Dua, and Kaleerein, alleged that she was subjected to physical and mental harassment by her husband, mother-in-law Urmila Kaushik, and sister-in-law Kirti Kaushik. The complaint includes allegations of assault, verbal abuse, and character assassination.
According to the FIR, the accused have been booked under several sections, including cruelty by husband or relatives, criminal breach of trust, and intentional insult. Aditi also alleged that her mother-in-law retained her wedding jewellery, including gold chains, rings, and a diamond ring, despite repeated requests to return them. The couple, who met in June 2021, got married on November 12, 2024, but Aditi claimed that her husband’s behavior changed soon after their wedding, with frequent arguments over minor issues and demands for money.
The matter is currently under investigation by Assistant Inspector Amita Marathe from the Goregaon Police Station, with no arrests made so far. The accused have not released a public statement regarding the allegations. Aditi’s complaint details a tumultuous relationship, with her husband questioning her character, accusing her of infidelity, and routinely checking her mobile phone. The investigation is ongoing, with Aditi seeking justice for the alleged domestic violence and harassment she suffered.
