On June 31, Udupi District Collector T.K. Swarup announced that 93.55% of the total voters in the district have been digitized as part of the Special Brief Revision of Voters Lists (SIR-2026) process. This milestone was reached after Booth Level Officers (BLOs) delivered enumeration forms to 10,63,876 voters, with 9,95,317 of these forms being digitized by the evening of June 31. During the house visits, it was discovered that 20,582 voters had passed away and 27,135 had been permanently transferred. Additionally, 7,999 voters have registered online in the district so far.
The district has also seen significant progress in achieving 100% digitization and verification in various polling booths. Currently, 733 polling booths have completed the digitization and verification process, with the breakdown being: Byndur Constituency-142, Kundapur-158, Udupi-74, Kapu-151, and Karkala-208. The public is requested to review the list of completed polling stations and notify the concerned BLO and Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of any new additions or changes. The SIR process has yielded the following results: 2,41,863 total electorate in Byndur, with 2,27,564 digitized applications, 4,804 deceased, and 5,966 transferred, while Kundapur has 2,12,473 total electorate, with 2,00,309 digitized applications, and 3,613 deceased.
