On July 27, in Mangaluru, District Congress President Harish Kumar announced the launch of the Sangathan Srujan Abhiyan, a process to select new district-level Congress presidents in 31 districts across the state, including Dakshina Kannada. This process will take place from July 29 to August 12. Kumar made this announcement at a press conference held at the D.K. District Congress office on Monday. A committee of four KPCC members, led by Kozhikode MLA Jayanth as AICC observer, will oversee this process. The selection of new leadership is part of the Congress party’s efforts to revamp its organization in the state. The Sangathan Srujan Abhiyan aims to strengthen the party’s presence at the grassroots level. With the process set to begin soon, the party is gearing up to welcome new leaders who will take the reins in Dakshina Kannada district. The current District Congress President Harish Kumar provided details about the upcoming process, which will be crucial in shaping the party’s future in the region.
