Kundapura: The district superintendent of police Vishnuvardhan made the announcement on Monday at a press conference that partner Anoop Shetty confessed to killing Azendra Shetty, who was unhappy about the finance deal.
The gold chain and his new Honda City car were stolen after he was brutally murdered of Ajendra Shetty, who was engaged in a finance business inside the office of Kalavara village in Kundapur . Anup Shetty, who had partnered with the finance company after the incident, had lodged a complaint against him at the Kundapur village station.
Under the guidance of Kundapur Police Assistant Superintendent K. Srikanth, a special team comprising Kundapur Sub-Detective Criminal Investigation Task Force led by Kundapur Gopikrishna and Byndoor Subhash Kaikini were arrested on June 31 in Goa.
The accused Anoop Shetty had earlier worked in Dubai and Singapore and then returned to his home town of Ajantra Shetty. Further details of the murder will be revealed after further investigation.
The car he had stolen was seized by a special team, Byndoor CPI. Police have been able to track down the accused within 24 hours of the incident.
