The party stated that Pradhan has no moral right to comment on Gandhi, and demanded his resignation from the Union Ministry. Congress MP Jebi Mather said that Pradhan is responsible for the mismanagement of the education system and the paper leak, and therefore has no right to make such statements. She added that instead of resigning, Pradhan is making big speeches, and that the Congress will protest and demand his resignation. Another Congress MP, Pawan Khera, said that the government is playing politics against the students, and that Pradhan should resign instead of giving long speeches.
The Congress has been demanding a thorough probe into the NEET-UG paper leaks and Pradhan’s resignation. Pradhan’s remarks came hours after Rahul Gandhi, along with his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other Opposition leaders, staged a sit-in protest outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence, demanding Pradhan’s resignation. In a post on X, Pradhan claimed that the Congress is exploiting students for political gain, and that the government is committed to discussing NEET and addressing the concerns of the youth.
The Education Minister’s comments have sparked a heated debate, with the Congress accusing him of being responsible for the paper leak and the government’s handling of the situation. The party is determined to continue its protest and demand Pradhan’s resignation, while the government remains committed to delivering reforms and accountability to the students.
