On July 17 and 18, Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT) in Mangaluru hosted a two-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) at its International Seminar Hall. Organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the program brought together faculty members from BIT, Bearys Enviro-Architecture Design School (BEADS), Bearys Institute of Emerging Science (BIES), and BIT Polytechnic. The theme of the program was ‘Be a Good Mentor to Be a Good Teacher’. Director Dr. Manjur Basha inaugurated the program, emphasizing that effective teaching extends beyond classroom instruction to guiding, motivating, and leading students. Dr. Imran Mokashi, IQAC Coordinator, introduced the resource person, Dr. Logashakti Kandasamy, an NLP and Leadership Trainer and Professor at RV University, Bengaluru. Dr. Kandasamy conducted interactive sessions, focusing on effective mentoring, communication skills, attitude transformation, leadership, and personal growth. He encouraged faculty members to adopt student-centric teaching methods and become empathetic mentors. The program concluded with a valedictory function, where Principal Dr. C. Kamalakannan felicitated Dr. Logashakti Kandasamy.
