On July 21, 2026, in Mangaluru, State Kambala Committee president Belapu Devi Prasad Shetty announced the schedule for the 2026-27 Kambala season, which will take place across Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Kasaragod districts. The new season will commence on October 18, 2026, in Mysuru, a first for the traditional buffalo race, which will be inaugurated from Karnataka’s cultural capital. The Kambala 2026-27 schedule includes events in various locations, such as Panapila on November 7, Sanur on November 14, and Kodange on November 21. Other notable events will be held in Kakkepadavu, Hokkadigoli, Ballamanja, and Baradibidu, before moving to Mangaluru on December 19. The season will continue into 2027, with events in Miyaru, Naringana, Adve, and Moodbidri, among other locations, concluding on May 1, 2027, in Kadandale.

The Kambala season will feature a total of 24 events, showcasing the traditional buffalo race in various locations across the three districts. With the inauguration in Mysuru, the 2026-27 Kambala season promises to be an exciting one for fans of the traditional sport.
