On November 14, 2026, the Women and Child Development Department in Udupi will be honoring brave children and individuals who have dedicated their lives to child welfare. The Hoysala and Keladi Chennamma Shaurya Awards will be presented to boys between 6 and 18 years old who have risked their lives to save others. Girls are also eligible to apply. The awards include a cash prize of Rs.25,000 and a certificate for individuals who have worked in child welfare for at least 5 years, while organizations will receive Rs.1,00,000 and a certificate. Children who have displayed bravery will be awarded Rs.10,000 and a certificate. The incident should have occurred between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2026.
