On July 18, Udupi District Collector Swaroop T.K. reported that 66% of voter enumeration forms had been digitized by the evening of July 19, as part of the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls (SIR-2026) process. By July 19, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) had distributed enumeration forms to 10,63,876 voters in the district, with 7,02,194 individuals having completed the digitization process. During house visits, BLOs found that 4864 voters had passed away, with the highest numbers in Byndoor (1739) and Kundapura (912). Additionally, 3203 voters had relocated permanently, including 1212 from Byndoor and 1018 from Kundapura. The district has also seen 1233 online self-registrations, with 606 of these coming from Byndoor. The district administration will continue collecting information through house visits until August 8 and has urged those who have not yet filled out the forms to do so immediately and submit them to their respective BLOs.
